Three minors aged 13 to 16 have been taken to the local police station after allegedly assaulting a taxi driver in Mureș County, Romania. The incident, reported at about 6:30 a.m. on January 28, 2026, involved a 54‑year‑old driver who claimed the youths, who had been dropped off near the village of Voiniceni, struck him with a blunt object while the driver was transporting passengers from Târgu Mureș to Porumbeni. The driver was taken to a medical facility for treatment and the police are continuing investigations. The children are now at the police station in Râciu and will be questioned as part of the legal proceedings.
