Vaslui, Romania - Two teenagers, aged 14 and 17, sustained severe second‑ and third‑degree burns after a sled‑riding mishap in the village of Bârlălești, Epureni. The boys had set several car tires on fire to create a dramatic scene for a social‑media video, then accidentally drove their sled into the flaming tires. Emergency services rushed one boy to the Grigore Alexandrescu Children’s Emergency Hospital in Bucharest and the other to the Sf. Maria Children’s Hospital in Iași. Prefect Eduard Popica confirmed the incident and highlighted the growing risk of online‑driven stunts among youths. The event underscores the perils of seeking online attention through dangerous behaviour.
