Romania: A 58‑year‑old man was treated at SANADOR Clinic after an MRI under general anaesthesia revealed an intramedullary tumour at the T6 level of the spinal cord. The tumour was removed in a complex neuro‑surgical operation led by Dr. Marius Catană. The procedure involved resection of part of the T5 and T6 vertebrae and a lateral myelotomy to excise the tumour in a single fragment without damaging the spinal cord. The operation was successful, the patient made a favourable postoperative recovery, and was discharged a few days later. SANADOR’s 3‑Tesla MRI system and experienced surgical team were highlighted as key factors in the patient’s successful outcome.
