Serbian freight transporters’ protests have severely disrupted truck traffic across the Romania‑Serbia border. Beginning 26 January 2026 at noon, the Ministry of Internal Affairs warned that freight truck movement is affected at key border crossings, including Jimbolia, Moraviţa, Naidăş and Porţile de Fier I. Romanian border police in Timișoara are monitoring the situation, coordinating with Serbian authorities, and taking measures to ease flow. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a travel advisory on 22 January due to the protests. Passenger traffic is reportedly running normally, and the Traffic Online app indicates no major delays at the moment.
