Title: Russian drone strike hits Odessa, Kharkiv and other Ukrainian cities A massive drone attack launched by Russia at night targeted the Ukrainian city of Odessa, hitting critical energy infrastructure and several residential buildings. 23 people were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman, with nine of them hospitalised. Fires broke out in multiple locations, damaging a church, a nursery and a high‑school. The attack was part of a series of raids on the southern port region in recent weeks. At the same time, a separate drone assault struck the eastern city of Kharkiv, leaving the city without power for about 80 per cent of its population and damaging infrastructure. Two people were injured and two schools were damaged. Reports also indicate that the Mykolaiv region suffered damage to its energy facilities and a 59‑year‑old woman was wounded. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Odessa strike involved more than 50 drones, with a total of 165 drones launched at Ukraine overnight, roughly 100 of which were Shahed types. He urged the United States, Europe and other partners not to remain silent and called for sustained pressure on Russia through sanctions and other measures. The Ukrainian defence ministry confirmed the attacks, and local governors Serhiy Lisak (Odessa), Oleh Kiper (Odessa region) and Oleh Siniyhubov (Kharkiv region) released statements detailing the damage and the ongoing restoration efforts.
