Romanian mountain rescue service Salvamont reports that 123 people were rescued in the last 24 hours, following 119 emergency calls and 59 informational queries about tourist routes. Three rescues required the use of a SMURD helicopter; 43 individuals were transported to hospitals by ambulance, while the remainder accepted personal transport. Calls were concentrated in regions such as Caraș Severin-Muntele Mic, Brașov, Maramureș, Sinaia, Lupeni, Suceava, Gorj, Bacău, Bihor, Cluj, Prahova, Sibiu, Harghita, Neamț, Alba, Mureș, Satu Mare, Vatra Dornei and Caraș Severin-Semenic. The operation highlights effective coordination among regional units and national emergency services. The rescue operation was deemed successful, reflecting a positive outcome for mountain safety in Romania.
