Former Romanian judge Cristi Dănileț has accused authorities in Timiș County of violating the law by keeping a 13‑year‑old suspect, who allegedly premeditated a murder in Cenei, in his family’s care instead of placing him in a specialized center. Dănileț argues that Article 86 of Law 272/2004 requires such placement for serious offences, but prosecutors maintain the child is not criminally responsible and therefore no special measures can be taken. The matter has been referred to the Directorate for Social Assistance and Child Protection (DGASPC) for further action. { "category": "Other", "tags": ["Other"], "countries": ["Romania"], "cities": ["Timiș", "Cenei"], "persons": ["Cristi Dănileț"], "sentiment": "Neutral" }
