In a move to tackle rising obesity rates, Romania’s Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced the opening of a new Obesity Management Center at the National Institute of Endocrinology "C.I. Parhon". The center will offer integrated medical care, combining endocrinology, nutrition, diabetes, cardiology, psychology and bariatric surgery when needed. The initiative aims to provide comprehensive evaluation, personalized treatment plans, long‑term monitoring and health education, improving patient outcomes and reducing complications.
