Romanian court sentenced 34‑year‑old Colombian Murillo Diosa Luis Alfonso to six years in prison for attempting to incite terrorist acts. He allegedly recruited a foreign citizen residing in Russia to plan attacks on Romanian infrastructure in Ilfov County, including a waste depot, two oil extraction probes and a natural gas regulator station. Romanian investigators, assisted by the National Intelligence Service and Eurojust, said the plot was part of a broader international terrorism network that also carried out incendiary attacks in Prague, Lithuania and Poland. The case is linked to destabilization efforts against Romania and other Eastern European states amid the Ukraine war. Prosecutor General Alex Florența highlighted that the coordinated sabotage is a hybrid warfare tactic intended to undermine public order and support for Ukraine.
