A group of men saved a child from a taxi that was sinking in a cold water canal in Dagestan, Russia. The incident, captured on video and widely shared on social media, shows three men working together to pull the child out of the half‑submerged vehicle while a fourth man on the shore secured the child in safety. The mother and the driver were also rescued unharmed. The rescue has prompted calls for the men to be officially honoured for their bravery, as noted by UK newspaper The Sun. Similar rescue stories have been reported elsewhere, such as in the UK’s Dorset, but this event in Dagestan is the focus of the current coverage.
