In the Romanian county of Botoșani, Mayor Viorel Nichiteanu sold his agricultural firm, NICVITIB SRL, and used the proceeds to buy a car for each of the nine loyal employees. The vehicles, ranging from BMWs to Volkswagens, were chosen to match individual preferences. The employees traveled with the mayor to a dealership in Suceava to select their cars, and some also received farm ATVs. The firm, which had operated for nearly three decades, will continue under German management. Mayor Nichiteanu said he will now focus on local social projects, offering aid to the elderly and supporting schoolchildren with personal funds.
