On 25 January 2026 a massive pothole appeared on a street in Brăila, Romania, causing a bus full of passengers to become stuck when its rear wheels fell into the hole. Witnesses filmed the incident and expressed concern over the danger posed by the sudden void in the roadway. No injuries were reported. Authorities have begun to assess the damage and plan to clear the pothole.
