Former Romanian minister Dan Vîlceanu will be heard today at the High Court of Cassation and Justice to decide whether he will be tried for the case in which he is accused of assault, including an incident in which he allegedly struck and bit Florin Roman in Parliament. The altercation occurred in May 2024 during a heated debate in the Chamber of Deputies. Roman claims he was physically attacked. Prosecutors say Vîlceanu struck him and even bit his nose. The court is expected to issue a decision on Tuesday.
