Former Romanian Finance Minister Adrian Câciu, speaking to Adevărul, warned that the governing coalition risks unraveling unless the Social Democratic Party (PSD) improves its internal dialogue with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the USR. He criticised the lack of consensus on key economic measures, such as the property tax and local‑government allocations from income tax and VAT. Câciu also accused the premier of confusing local authorities about funding for social services and of failing to explain decisions on the PNRR and the 16‑billion‑euro SAFE borrowing program. He added that repeated requests for appointments by the USR and the absence of public detail on defence projects in Cugir are fueling public discontent. Câciu concluded that transparent explanations from the prime minister are essential to prevent rising extremism.
