Fatal collision on the rural road between Dobârca and Poiana Sibiului on Sunday night caused one death and five injuries. A 39‑year‑old driver from Moșna lost control on DJ 141, first striking a 52‑year‑old man from Mediaș and then colliding frontally with a 58‑year‑old foreign woman. The 52‑year‑old’s car overturned into a building yard. The woman and two other passengers - a 44‑year‑old woman and a 48‑year‑old man - suffered injuries and were taken to hospital. A person in cardiac arrest died; the remaining six passengers received medical aid. The Red Intervention Plan was activated and later de‑activated once the situation was under control. Traffic resumed normally. Investigations continue to determine all circumstances.
