Romanian otolaryngologist Dr. Daniela Ionescu warns that many people attribute sleep problems to stress or busy lifestyles, overlooking these treatable conditions. She notes that untreated sleep deprivation raises the risk of hypertension, cardiovascular disease and metabolic disorders, and can diminish work performance and quality of life. For children, enlarged adenoids, allergies and dental occlusion also disturb sleep, requiring specialised assessment. The article stresses that addressing these medical issues can transform persistent fatigue into sustained energy and clearer mental function.
