Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, speaking on RFI, criticised the Social Democratic Party (PSD) for delaying reforms and warned that a minority government would be undesirable. He emphasised the need for coalition stability, noting that political crises have led to minority cabinets in the past but that such arrangements are costly for the country’s budget and credit rating. Bolojan underlined that the government’s responsibility is to maintain predictability, and that a lack of authority would hamper policy implementation. He also said that while he does not exclude the possibility of a minority cabinet in the future, he does not support it and stresses that responsible party behaviour is essential for fiscal prudence.
