28 Jan 2026 - Broadcom chief Chuck Robbins told BBC that artificial intelligence will outgrow the Internet, creating winners and losers. He warned that some firms will fail, certain jobs - especially in customer service - could disappear, but urged workers to embrace AI rather than fear it. Robbins noted AI could also worsen cyber‑attacks, but said the industry is building defenses. He added that the UK has good prospects of becoming an AI superpower. The comments follow similar concerns from JPMorgan’s Jamie Dimon and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai about an AI bubble. He compared the current AI boom to the dot‑com crash and urged policymakers to support AI adoption.
