A 17‑year‑old was detained by police in Bucharest after a woman called 112 at about 10:00 p.m. on 24 January to report that she had been robbed of her handbag, which contained personal items worth roughly 3,000 lei. Police recovered part of the stolen goods and identified the suspect on a street in Sector 4. The youth was held for 24 hours and will be presented to the prosecutor’s office in Sector 4 for a charge of qualified robbery. Investigations continue under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office.
